Mirella has been working as a consultant in craft beer since 2008, with a focus on beer education and sensory work.
She was the first person outside the US, and the fifth person ever to achieve the title of Master Cicerone and is also a Doemens Biersommelier and Grand Master BJCP judge in addition to her Guild of Beer Sommeliers Accreditation.
Mirella is the author of the award-winning book Beerology: Everything you Need to Know to Enjoy Beer...Even More, which is also available in French and German. She also created the online course Mastering Beer & Food Pairing brought to you by Beerology, which includes an effective step-by-step approach to pairing beer with food.
She has worked with countless companies internationally, including breweries, schools, distributors and restaurants/pubs, helping them with their training, food pairing and sensory programs.
Mirella also currently works as Senior Business Development Manager for Beer at WSET
