Norfolk born and bred, Robin Parker has been a beer drinker and lover of real ale since he his late teens. Since taking early retirement Robin has worked as a Tour Guide at St Peters Brewery, South Elmham Suffolk. Here as well as taking visitors on brewery tours, he was also involved in providing staff training and beer tasting at the brewery as well as running tasting sessions at local Public Houses in South Norfolk and Suffolk.¶Robin is also involved in the development of beer and food matching at St Peter’s Brewery and locally in Norfolk and is keen to use his Beer Sommelier qualification to extend beer and food pairing menus in local Public Houses and Restaurants.¶He is a home brewer, a member of Camra and regularly works as a volunteer at local beer festivals. Robin also is a Qualified Beekeeper and an Associate Member of the Cheese Academy and gives workshops on Cheese and Honey Tasting both locally and at the National Honey Show, and of course this does involve beer tasting as part of this.¶Robin is keen to encourage others in the appreciation of both good beer and good food especially cheese and honey.
