Alex is the founder of TheDrinkSchool where, having attained his WSET Diploma he became a WSET Certified Wine, Beer and Spirits Educator as well as a Beer Academy Sommelier. Working in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, he has continued to develop his knowledge and passion on the job as well as in the classroom.  Sharing these passions, Alex has trained hundreds of students over the years, both to achieve formal WSET wine, beer and spirit qualifications as well as delivering training or events in a more informal, relaxed setting.

Knowing that entertainment is key to a good learning experience, Alex likes to keep it interesting and loves nothing more than getting side-tracked, answering questions and sharing a passion for the drinks industry.  He regularly appears on wine, beer and spirits tasting panels, judging for competitions and hosting masterclasses and training courses across the UK.
