Annabel is an ex-publican with a wealth of experience about how pubs, particularly beer-led venues, operate successfully. Her previous roles include training manager at Diageo and Head of Training at The Cask Marque Trust.

She is an award-winning educator and speaker, and specializes in developing, designing and delivering bespoke training programmes and events in the beer industry. Her clients range from small pub operators to global brewers and trade bodies

She qualified as one of the first UK Beer Sommeliers and is a British Institute of Innkeeping accredited tutor.

She is a founder member of Dea Latis, a group formed to change women’s perceptions about beer and encourage more women to consider beer as a drink of choice. She has published two research reports exploring this subject: The Gender Pint Gap and The Beer A-Gender

Annabel is a Director of the British Guild of Beer Writers, and sits on steering committees within the beer industry to advise how to raise the quality and perception of beer.

In 2017 she won the Imbibe Educator of the Year and in 2018 she was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group

She appears as a regular speaker at the BBC Good Food Show, CAMRA Great British Beer Festival and the Ideal Home Exhibition.
